Job summary

MUFG Bank, Ltd seeks a seasoned Jira and Confluence Engineer to manage enterprise Atlassian Data Center and Cloud environments, including migrations and ongoing governance. You will build scalable configurations, ensure security compliance, and partner with security, IAM and engineering teams to optimize platform performance.

This role blends strategic leadership with hands-on execution. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of Jira/Confluence administration, cloud migration experience, and ACP

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on Jira/Confluence administration.
• Experience migrating Jira/Confluence Data Center to Cloud.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Atlassian ACP credentials preferred (Jira Cloud / Cloud Organization Admin).
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with engineers, business partners, and leadership.
• Experience with REST APIs and integrations involving Atlassian products.
• Experience with Power BI for reporting/analytics.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and SDLC practices.

Responsibilities

• Administer, engineer, and support Jira/Confluence Data Center and Cloud instances (Jira, Jira Service Management, Confluence).
• Migrate Jira/Confluence from Data Center to Atlassian Cloud and plan data validation and risk mitigation.
• Translate business requirements into Jira configurations (workflows, schemes, permissions, fields, automation).
• Collaborate with platform owners and stakeholders on roadmap, backlog, and feature adoption.
• Coordinate with IAM and security teams to maintain access controls and compliance.
• Create and evolve golden Jira configurations, dashboards, reports, and planning views.
• Develop integrations with external systems (GitHub Enterprise, ServiceNow, SDLC/ITSM tools).
• Document best practices and deliver training for admins and end users.
