Everforth Apex is seeking a Senior Jira Platform Administrator and Application Support Engineer to drive automation, governance, and enterprise platform ownership across IT and security teams in Austin, TX. You will own Jira Software, Jira Service Management, Confluence, and Jira Assets, building scalable workflows and integrations.

Senior Jira Platform Administrator & Application Support EngineerBuild the systems that keep the business moving.We're looking for a highly skilled **Senior Jira Platform Administrator & Application Support Engineer** to help drive operational excellence, automation, and enterprise application support across a growing technology organization.In this role, you'll own and enhance our Atlassian ecosystem while partnering with teams across IT, Infrastructure, Security, and the business to streamline workflows, automate manual processes, improve service delivery, and support critical enterprise applications. Evolve the Atlassian Platform* Administer and optimize Jira Software, Jira Service Management, Confluence, and Jira Assets.* Design and maintain workflows, permissions, service portals, queues, SLAs, dashboards, and reporting solutions.* Develop scalable automation that eliminates manual effort and improves operational efficiency.* Establish governance, documentation standards, security controls, and platform best practices.* Create integrations using REST APIs, webhooks, PowerShell, Python, JSON, and other automation tools.Drive Automation and Process Improvement* Partner with business and technology teams to identify inefficiencies and implement practical automation solutions.* Build automated workflows supporting onboarding, offboarding, access management, approvals, software fulfillment, and application support.* Continuously improve operational processes through workflow enhancements and system integrations.Serve as a Technical Escalation Expert* Act as a Tier 2/3 escalation resource for complex application and platform issues.* Perform root cause analysis and coordinate resolution efforts across multiple technical teams.* Troubleshoot mission-critical applications while ensuring service levels and operational objectives are met.* Support application implementations, upgrades, patching, monitoring, and release management activities.Strengthen Configuration and Asset Management* Develop and maintain an enterprise CMDB using Jira Assets.* Manage application inventories, infrastructure dependencies, ownership records, support models, and lifecycle data.* Improve data quality, governance, and operational visibility through standardized processes.* Connect incident, change, asset, and configuration data to improve impact analysis and decision-making.Support Modern Cloud and Endpoint Technologies* Support AWS-hosted environments and AWS WorkSpaces.* Assist with automation and integrations leveraging services such as Lambda, API Gateway, IAM, S3, and CloudWatch.* Administer Microsoft Intune for device management, compliance, application deployment, and endpoint security.* Collaborate with infrastructure, security, architecture, and endpoint engineering teams on enterprise initiatives.Contribute to Secure Enterprise Operations* Support role-based access controls, SSO integrations, Entra ID connectivity, and audit requirements.* Assist with administration and support of enterprise platforms including Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, Salesforce, Oracle, Genesys, Exchange Online, and related technologies.* Monitor application performance, reliability, and security to proactively identify improvement opportunities.* Provide clear communication to technical teams, stakeholders, vendors, and end users throughout incidents, projects, and operational activities.What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications* 5+ years of experience in Jira administration, application support, systems administration, infrastructure, or platform engineering.* Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent hands-on experience.* Strong Jira Software and Jira Service Management administration experience.* Experience configuring workflows, permissions, SLAs, service portals, queues, dashboards, and automation.* Hands-on experience with Jira Assets and CMDB design, maintenance, or governance.* Experience supporting AWS-hosted applications and AWS WorkSpaces.* Experience administering Microsoft Intune and endpoint management solutions.* Working knowledge of REST APIs, webhooks, JSON, and enterprise application integrations.* PowerShell and/or Python scripting experience.* Strong understanding of ITSM processes including Incident, Problem, Change, Request, and Service Level Management.* Experience supporting Windows enterprise environments, SQL databases, and application monitoring platforms.* Excellent troubleshooting, communication, documentation, and organizational skills.Preferred Qualifications* Atlassian Certified Professional certification.* AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or AWS Solutions Architect certification.* Microsoft certifications related to Intune, Endpoint Administration, Entra ID, or Microsoft 365.* ITIL Foundation certification.* Experience with Power Automate, Power BI, Okta, ServiceNow, or enterprise identity platforms.* Experience supporting AI platforms such as ChatGPT, Claude, or similar enterprise AI solutions.* Experience in highly regulated environments such as financial services, insurance, healthcare, or other
