Job description

Overview

We are looking for a Jira Administrator, Analyst to collaborate with cross-functional teams and oversee the configuration, customization, administration, and maintenance of a Jira implementation. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, has experience with Jira workflows, setups, and optimization, and can ensure the effective and efficient use of the system while meeting the evolving needs of the business. This is a 3 months+ remote opportunity on a 1099 basis. Qualified candidates must reside in the United States and be fully authorized to work without requiring visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  1. Manage and maintain Jira projects, workflows, dashboards, and reports
  2. Customize Jira workflows, fields, screens, and permissions
  3. Develop and maintain Jira integrations with other systems and tools
  4. Train and support users on Jira and related tools
  5. Provide technical guidance and support to Jira users
  6. Manage user access to Jira and other systems through Active Directory
  7. Monitor system performance and manage upgrades and patching as necessary
  8. Consistently demonstrate informed judgement and system knowledge
  9. Successfully collaborate with internal teams to drive change and facilitate cooperation among cross-functional groups
  10. Proven ability to work in large, enterprise environments and communicate effectively with stakeholders

Requirements

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  2. Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Jira Administrator or Expert
  3. Experience with Jira on the Cloud is required
  4. Extensive experience managing and configuring Jira, Agile methodologies, and associated add-ons/plugins
  5. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
  6. Knowledge of Git, Jenkins, and other development tools would be a plus
  7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  8. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively

Compensation

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Colorado, Sand Cherry Associates is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to the State of Colorado and takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and delivery model. This is a short-term consulting engagement (six months+) on 1099 with an hourly range of $60-75/hr. Years of experience, level of education, geographic location, unique skills/qualifications for the specific role and potential certifications can be key factors in the final compensation for this role.
