Provides clinical support, transportation services, and activities to promote patient comfort and satisfaction. Works under the direction of a Registered Nurse. In addition, under the direction of RN and in cooperation with all members of the patient care team, performs a wide range of duties including clerical, materials management, environmental and interdepartmental/intradepartmental communication to fully support the peri‑operative unit. Utilizes information systems, maintains inventory supply, performs operating and procedure room turnover, picks items and equipment needed for surgical procedures, transports specimens to the lab, aids in OR/PR set up, as well as assisting nursing and medical personnel in other delegated direct and indirect patient care activities. Contributes to a positive work environment as an active team member with a commitment to learning and skill development. The JHSCS OR Equipment Technician will primarily work in the Operating & Procedure Room and occasionally flex to other units to meet the daily operational needs of the JHSCS.
Day Shift
Minimum $16.25/hour - Maximum $23.25/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
