Schedule

Days of the week: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday

Shifts: A.M. shift, Overnight shift, P.M. shift

Responsibilities

1. Provides consistent access control through verification of guest and employee credentials.
2. Performs perimeter, parking lot, and building patrol on foot or in vehicle.
3. Provides excellent customer service.
4. Greets guests and employees in a cheerful, welcoming manner.
5. Provides directions and answers questions to assist guests and employees.
6. Opens and closes doors/gates, proactively secures and controls areas as needed.
7. Admits and controls incoming traffic.
8. Remains flexible as environment changes and is ready to take on other duties as assigned.
9. Monitors closed-circuit systems and alarms.
10. Inventories keys, radios, and other equipment; issues keys to contractors.
11. Handles all building emergency alarms (fire, elevator entrapment, intercom, etc.).
12. Advises management of any emergency or security incident for appropriate resolution.
13. Patrols and documents security-related inquiries from tenants, employees, and the public.
14. Performs any other security-related assignments as needed.

Qualifications

1. NYS Security License required.
2. Must be a resident of the state.
3. Must be at least 18 years old.
4. High School diploma or GED.
5. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English well.
6. Computer literate and capable of completing online training.
7. Ability to lift/move items of 70 pounds and/or more regularly; capable of lifting weights of 40-50 pounds on raised surfaces.
8. Ability to walk, climb, bend, kneel, crawl, and stoop frequently and for extended periods.
9. Ability to work in cramped or high places.
