Arizona State University invites applications for the Michael W. Rubinoff Assistant Teaching Professorship in Jewish Studies, a full-time, benefits-eligible, non-tenure-track faculty position expected to begin August 16, 2027.

We seek a dynamic and dedicated teacher with demonstrated expertise in Jewish history and/or Jewish religion, a strong record of undergraduate teaching, and the ability to engage multicultural student populations in both specialized and general education courses.

Qualifications

• PhD by time of appointment.
• Demonstrated record of successful undergraduate teaching.
• Expertise in Jewish history and/or Jewish religion.

Responsibilities

• Teach a 4/4 course load.
• Contribute regularly to SHPRS core curriculum.
• Teach courses supporting the broader humanities mission of the university.
• Participate in service activities within SHPRS and the university.
• Contribute to the intellectual and pedagogical life of Jewish Studies at ASU.
