Job summary

JCFS in Skokie, IL, seeks a Jewish Community Liaison & Mental Health Professional to strengthen partnerships with synagogues, develop grief support groups and mental health programming, and provide clinical education across Chicagoland. The role does not carry an individual caseload.

Qualifications include a Master's in social work or related field (LCSW/LCPC/LMFT/LCP), 3+ years in social services, ability to drive, and willingness to work evenings/weekends to support groups and trainings.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or marriage & family therapy (LCSW, LCPC, LMFT, LCP).
• Minimum 3 years of professional work in a social service environment or providing community education/training.
• Experience facilitating psycho-educational support groups.
• Excellent organizational skills to handle competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted resource and connector for partner synagogues and Jewish organizations.
• Provide consultation to clergy and leadership to address social service and mental health needs.
• Assess community needs and connect individuals with JCFS resources.
• Design and facilitate grief support groups and psychoeducational programs.
• Plan community programming and professional trainings on mental health and wellness.
• Maintain documentation and program records.
• Collaborate with JCFS colleagues and community partners.
