Tiffany & Co. invites applications for an Engineering Technician at the Jewelry Design and Innovation Workshop (JDIW) in New York City.

You will support technical and data elements for new product development, collect and archive product data, and collaborate with Design, Product Development, Manufacturing, Sourcing, and other teams to ensure a unified development channel. Responsibilities span prototype creation, data management, communication, leadership in project activities, and safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent
• 2+ years related experience
• CAD skills
• Experience with a document management system (e.g. Adept)
• Knowledge of GD&T and basic measuring skills
• Ability to understand, communicate and create technical manufacturing documentation, including BOMs and routes
• Strong communications skills: verbal, written and presentation
• Strong computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, Project
• Ability to work within a team environment

Responsabilités

• Prototype Creation: set up and maintain Critical Requirement documentation; define prototype material needs and milestone deliveries; support development timeline and test plans.
• Ensure timely prototype execution in collaboration with cross-functional teams and in compliance with procedures.
• Execute prototype reviews against Critical Requirement documentation and meet product development timelines.
• Assist in evaluating designs and building prototypes and processes; ensure validation and alignment with documentation, CAD models, and manufacturing requirements.
• Expedite transfer and pickup of prototypes and components.
• Documentation & Data: measure, analyze, present data; maintain product data and project requirements; create and maintain project folders with all related docs.
• Coordinate and maintain product data, including part numbers, BOMs/routes, costs, specs, and work instructions.
• Create and maintain project folders with all product-related documentation; ensure file management protocol alignment.
• Aid in data accuracy, collection, and reporting; document activities.
• Generate and track project work orders; manage material adjustments and inventory transfers.
• Track CER/expense billing.
• Communication: maintain milestone docs; update product status and reporting.
• Report scarcity, shortages, or excess inventory issues.
• Leadership/Project Management: facilitate new product planning meetings; maintain project repositories; communicate rapid costing scenarios; track work orders and costs.
• Ensure completion of project documentation at end.
• Technology & Innovation: research and develop innovative processes and tooling to improve throughput and reduce scrap.
• Safety: demonstrate safety leadership and reinforce safe behaviors.
