Job summary

Fred Meyer Jewelers, Incorporated is seeking an administrative-support professional to assist the buyer with all aspects of jewelry merchandising in our Oregon shops. You will perform tasks in line with corporate policies and state/federal laws, while upholding the company values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.

The role emphasizes accuracy, confidentiality, and strong organizational skills to balance multiple tasks and vendor needs in a fast-paced retail

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus 3–5 years of admin experience.
• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Ability to pass drug test.
• Ability to work weekends occasionally.
• Ability to work overtime on occasion.
• Ability to travel independently on rare basis.
• Maintain confidentiality and attention to detail.
• Organize/prioritize tasks and projects.
• Familiar with jewelry terms and processes.
• Valid driver's license.

Job description

Assist the buyer with all aspects of jewelry merchandising. Perform all tasks in a safe manner consistent with corporate policies and state and federal laws. Demonstrate the Company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.

Minimum

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED), plus 3-5 years of administrative experience; or combination of relevant education and experience.
• Minimum 18 years of age
• Ability to pass drug test
• Ability to work weekends on a rare basis

• Prepare various reports prior to all vendors meetings
• Assist buyers with tracking Salvage Allowance, Stock Balance Allowance, Quality Control reject and late shipment fees
• Assign stock keeping unit (SKU) number and set up new items based on supplier specification sheet and mark up guidelines from buyer
• Adjust item profiles to optimize Gross Margin Return On Investment (GMROI) and stock to sales ratios
