Job summary

City of Albuquerque seeks a licensed Journeyman Electrician to monitor and maintain airport jetbridges, baggage systems, and related electrical infrastructures. You will install, modify and repair high- and low-voltage systems, troubleshoot complex electrical components, and ensure safety and compliance across critical airport operations.

Minimum five years of electrical experience, a valid New Mexico driver’s license, and a City Operator’s Permit within six months are required, along with a NM

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of electronic or electrical systems installation, maintenance and repair experience at the electrical journeyman level.
• Ability to interpret and modify electronic or digital control systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain jetway loading bridge systems and related components, including power and 400 Hz ground power.
• Maintain baggage systems, conveyors and safety devices; inspect for foreign objects and calibrate switches.
• Install and maintain lighting control systems and electrical fixtures; update from traditional to electronic ballast.
• Install and maintain automatic gates and related electrical components and boosters.
• Maintain security, fire alarm, and emergency systems; perform preventive maintenance.
• Repair and maintain cable networks for access control and public address systems.
• Diagnose and repair complex control systems and write modifications for system software.
