Job summary

Google is seeking a Jetpack Compose Developer Relations Engineer for Android in New York. You will advocate for Jetpack Compose, create tutorials and samples, and present at conferences while collaborating with product and engineering teams to shape Android UI tools.

The role involves engaging developer communities, supporting developers, and testing features with internal teams to relay feedback and improve tooling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a similar technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3 years of work experience in a technical role (e.g., software engineering, solutions consultant, etc.).
• Experience building for Android using Kotlin.
• Experience with UI development.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for Jetpack Compose and modern Android development practices within the developer ecosystem.
• Create compelling technical content, including tutorials, code samples, and documentation.
• Present technical sessions and workshops at conferences, meetups, and developer events.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product and engineering teams to provide developer feedback.
• Build and support developer communities by addressing technical questions and integrating AI agents to enhance workflows.
