Qualifications

• Minimum of two years’ experience in trenchless installation, including Vac Truck operation.

• Physical demands: lifting up to 75 pounds; use of PPE and respiratory protection.

We are seeking a Jet Vac Truck Operator in Indian Trail, NC. The Jet Vac Truck Operator uses heavy equipment to install underground utilities to depths of greater than 20 feet. We are currently offering a limited‑time sign‑on bonus of $4,000 for new hires with a valid CDL license, and sign‑on bonuses for new hires without a current CDL license are also available at a reduced amount. The starting pay is $22.00 to $30.00 per hour depending on experience.

What You’ll Do

• Perform thorough check‑ups and safety sweeps of equipment and notify the supervisor of any concerns.
• Set up different trench shoring systems and apply expertise to each project.
• Determine the best approach for each project, handling sewer systems, storm drains, water mains, or force mains (excavation may include high water environments).
• Follow the lead of the Foreman and Superintendent, using your assigned equipment efficiently.
• Maintain clear communication with crew and supervisors.
• Operate excavator equipment with priority on safety and effectiveness.
• Monitor every step of the operation to maintain high standards of quality and safety.
• Be ready for anything else that arises—versatility is key.

What We Need From You

• Minimum of two years’ experience in trenchless installation, including Vac Truck operation.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean motor vehicle report; CDL license is a plus.
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions at job sites with moving vehicles and mechanical operations, occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles, and moderate noise levels.
• Physical demands: regularly lift, push, pull, and move up to 75 pounds. Use pneumatic, battery‑powered, or electric tools. Must be able to wear a respirator and body harness while entering confined spaces.
