Job summary

Sweeping Corporation of America in Tampa, FL is seeking a Day Jet Vac Helper (Non-CDL) on a full-time basis. The role supports Jet Vac operations, cleaning storm drains, catch basins, and drainage systems to prevent flooding and improve public safety.

Expect a 1st shift, hourly pay of $23, with minimal travel and opportunities for a pay increase after six months. You will assist with loading, operating, and maintaining equipment, adhere to safety procedures, and help with logs and documentation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of Jet Vac experience preferred.
• Driver’s License required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must pass MVR check, background check, DOT physical, and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Safety & Inspection: wear PPE and follow safety procedures at all times.
• Execution: complete jobs within scheduled timeframes and support crew.
• Equipment Operation: operate JetVac and related equipment safely and perform pre/post inspections.
• Material Handling: assist with loading, unloading and positioning of tools and equipment.
• Reporting: report equipment issues, near misses, or injuries promptly.
• Communication: maintain professional communication with customers and team.
• Compliance & Documentation: follow policies and complete logs and route documentation.
• Adaptability & Problem Solving: respond to changes and find safe solutions.
• Attendance: maintain regular, on-time attendance and communicate absences.
