Job summary

HEI Civil is seeking an experienced Jet Truck Operator to join our team. You will be responsible for safely operating and driving the jet truck, inspecting the vehicle, and maintaining equipment to support sewer and infrastructure projects across designated regions.

The role requires a CDL Class B license, a clean driving record, and the ability to work independently with strong attention to safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• DOT and safety regulations knowledge required.
• Clean driving record with no moving violations.
• Must pass background check and drug test.
• Must pass all DOT requirements.
• CDL Class B license required.
• Proficiency with GPS and routing systems.
• Map reading and route planning experience.
• Self-starter who works well independently.
• Disciplined, dependable and resourceful.

Responsibilities

• Fully understand how to operate and safely drive your assigned vehicle.
• Clean and maintain sanitary and storm sewer lines.
• Use of hydro pressure system to clear sewer lines.
• Perform inspections of your vehicle prior to and following each trip.
• Always ensure your vehicle is kept clean.
• Maintain and service vehicle as needed (refuel, change oil, tire pressure, repairs, etc.).
• Notify managers of any major maintenance or delivery issues encountered.
• Obey all applicable traffic laws and drive in accordance with the weather/road conditions.
• Comply with DOT regulations and adhere to company rules and regulations.
• Make safety a priority at all times.
