Job summary

Nicholson Construction Company seeks a Drill Rig Operator for the Manhattan Jet Grouting Project in Manhattan, NY. Operate Nicholson-owned or rented equipment to perform geotechnical work in accordance with project specs and safety standards.

You will direct the crew assigned to your equipment, ensure OSHA and Nicholson quality rules are followed, maintain daily drill logs and inspection forms, and communicate equipment issues to supervision. Travel may be required per project policy.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must follow directions and work as part of a crew.
• OSHA safety rules knowledge and certifications required.
• OSHA 10-hour Training, Forklift and Crane Certifications, First Aid/CPR Training.

Responsibilities

• Operate Nicholson-owned or rented equipment to perform geotechnical work, meeting Nicholson and OSHA standards.
• Direct the operation of the crew assigned to your equipment.
• Ensure safety regulations and Nicholson quality standards are followed on site.
• Maintain daily drill logs and equipment inspection forms; report malfunctions to supervision.
• Ensure work is built to plans, specifications and quality expectations.
