Job summary

Menzies Aviation LATAM in Anchorage is looking for a Fuel Farm Operator to manage sampling and testing of fuels, perform basic maintenance on fuel systems, and supervise safety and quality controls at our storage facilities. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, the ability to perform basic math, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Math proficiency and ability to perform basic calculations in all units of measure.
• Ability to understand and follow written or oral instructions.
• Ability to solve problems with a few concrete variables in standard situations.
• Must pass pre-employment testing, including drug testing and a physical.
• Must obtain and maintain airport and customs badges/seals as required.
• Willingness to work variable shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Outdoor work environment and weather exposure are expected.

Responsibilities

• Receives/dispatches jet fuel, gasoline, diesel fuel, avgas and glycol via pipelines and trucks.
• Samples and tests products for quality control and performs basic maintenance on facilities and fuel systems.
• Supports Quality Control with hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical reports and preventative maintenance of equipment.
• Performs routine inspections in compliance with standards.
• Transfers product and monitors storage tanks, pipelines and related equipment to prevent spills and contamination.
• Maintains safety by following company, customer, government and industry policies/procedures.
• Keeps log entries of fuel transactions, quality control and maintenance.
• Complies with attendance and code of conduct standards.
