Qualifications

  • No specific educational requirements; substitution of Education for Specialized Experience allowed.
  • Minimum Military Rank: A1C/E-3; Maximum Military Rank: SSgt/E-5.
  • Must be eligible for immediate National Guard membership and posses a Secret clearance within one year.

Responsibilities

  • Certify acceptable performance, test, repair, troubleshoot propulsion system components and related equipment.
  • Perform test cell operation and engine run-ups; analyze parameters and verify safe operation.
  • Interpret Engine Management trend data to detect anomalies and prevent failures.
  • Provide technical advice and troubleshooting to other work centers when propulsion affects other systems.
  • Train lower graded employees on certification techniques for installed engine components.
  • Interpret and follow regulations regarding hazardous materials storage, reclamation and transport.
