What You Will Do
- Work as an Assembly and Test Mechanic in our GTF MRO Commercial Engine Center.
- This is a 2nd shift position, Monday-Friday, 3:30 pm - midnight, with a 10% shift differential.
- Use power and mechanical tools to perform checks on engine assembly/components and test equipment.
- Acquire necessary tools and hardware for assembly and testing procedures.
- Operate various tools to assemble/disassemble jet engines and support utilities for testing.
- Monitor instrumentation and perform engine service during tests under supervision.
- Follow work instructions for assembly/disassembly of jet engines.
- Perform self-inspections and peer inspections to ensure quality standards.
- Set up test stands and prepare/test articles as per procedures.
- Assist with engine inspections per test plans.
- Inspect, maintain, and report on equipment and facilities.
- Handle packaging, storage, and transportation of test articles and engines.
- Work varying shifts as needed.
What You Will Learn
- Skills and processes critical to aerospace manufacturing in a modern facility.
- Interpretation and application of technical data for engine disassembly and assembly.
- Forklift, scissor lift, and other PIV training.
Qualifications You Must Have
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 2 years of formal training in power-plant mechanics and testing.
Preferred Qualifications
- A & P License.
- Over 4 years of experience in similar roles.
- Experience with MRO/FAR 145 repair stations.
- Knowledge of FAA standards, jet engine design, hardware, instrumentation, and testing.
- SAP and Solumina experience.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and professional maturity.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
