Job summary

Textron Aviation is seeking a Flight Mechanic to support testing and customer delivery of multi-engine aircraft. You will collaborate with experienced mechanics to maintain safety and mechanical excellence on site in Wichita, KS.

The role requires a high school diploma and 3–6 months of diversified aircraft experience; an A&P license is helpful and ergonomic skills are valued. Second shift is available as part of full-time scheduling.

Qualifications

  • 3–6 months of diversified experience with jet, turboprop or piston aircraft.
  • Knowledge of aircraft mechanical systems and components is helpful.
  • An A&P license is helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Mechanical Installation: install line shortage items and prepare aircraft for flight tests and delivery.
  • System Checks & Adjustments: perform functional checks on multi-engine systems.
  • Flight Test Support: assist in correcting flight test and inspection squawks.
  • Sheet Metal Rework: conduct minor rework to maintain aircraft reliability.
  • Tool Utilization: use hand tools and measurement devices for precise adjustments.
  • Blueprint & Specification Adherence: follow blueprints, routers, specs and checklists.
