Job summary

M1 Support Services, based in Westlake, TX, seeks an Aircraft Mechanic to support T-38/CANN DOCK operations at Columbus, MS. You will perform maintenance, inspections, and servicing to ensure flight readiness and safety compliance.

The role requires knowledge of jet aircraft systems, hand tools, and IMDS documentation, plus the ability to read technical data. Shifts may include day, night, or weekend duties with relocation possible.

Qualifications

• Jet aircraft systems knowledge and ability to use common and special tools.
• Must read and understand English; able to interpret technical data.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 12 months experience as aircraft mechanic or equivalent.
• Completion of aviation maintenance school; diploma or certificate preferred.
• Military or civilian training alternative: 2 years experience in aircraft maintenance.
• Air Force 3 Level CDC course desirable; may require flight line driver’s license or CDL.

Responsibilities

• Performs maintenance and repair of assigned aircraft.
• Completes inspections including preflight, thru flight, and BPO.
• Serves aircraft for flight; launches and recovers.
• Uses diagrams and publications to service systems.
• Removes and reinstalls components; inspects gear and engines.
• Rigs flight controls, canopies, throttles, and landing gear.
• Performs scheduled/unscheduled maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Maintains housekeeping, tool control, and safety.
• Annotates maintenance actions in aircraft records; IMDS documentation.
• May require engine run certification and various quals.
• Promotes company values; coordinates with operations.
• Shall assist other personnel; cross-utilization training.
