Job Description:

The primary role of the Associate Refrigeration Technician is to provide safe, efficient operation and maintenance of all equipment. This includes, but is not limited to, ammonia equipment, high pressure boiler systems, compressed air equipment, HVAC equipment, etc. Provide support to the maintenance department and other departments on projects and daily activities.

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Perform basic preventative maintenance work such as greasing, oiling, minor troubleshooting, and repair.
  2. Perform basic equipment and facility maintenance as well as preventative maintenance as assigned.
  3. Identify basic machine parts and maintenance supplies.
  4. Practice good housekeeping and sanitary practices as outlined by company policies.
  5. Work with Team Members and follow instructions.
  6. Assist other maintenance Team Members and perform other duties as assigned.
  7. Ability to work 8-10 hours per shift and weekends as scheduled.
Minimum Qualifications:
  1. Good communication skills.
  2. Strong reading and writing skills.
  3. General knowledge of tools and their uses in routine work.
  4. Good mechanical aptitude.
  5. Able to work well with other Team Members or independently.
  6. Good attendance.
  7. Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  8. Ability to work in cold, wet, humid environments, work at heights, and in confined spaces.
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. State of Minnesota Special Engineer’s License preferred but will train and will be expected to test within six months of hiring for Special Engineer.
  2. Able to work towards license as Second-Class Engineer after the appropriate training period.
  3. The knowledge of basic ammonia refrigeration preferred but will train.
