Overview

Pay Rate: Hire rate $21.75, 6 Months $22.11, 1 year $22.76

Job Responsibilities

• Keep the entire ground, including lawns, parking lots, sidewalks & other surfaced areas free of debris & trash at all times
• Maintain perimeter fences & gates in good working condition
• Remove all trash from Jennie-O Turkey Store containers in the parking lots & locations surrounding the plant & office daily
• Maintain the surfaced parking lots in good, usable condition
• Primary responsibility for snow & ice removal from all parking lots, sidewalks & other surfaced areas
• Must monitor weather conditions and be available as needed at any time
• Maintain mechanical integrity of all yard equipment
• Conduct weekly P.M.'s
• Become proficient in the duties (but not limited to) outlined in the essential functions
• Must be able to work any other shift as required & every other Saturday 6 a.m. - 2 p.m.
• Regular hours are Monday – Friday 12:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m., can be seasonally adjusted.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must have or acquire a Jennie - O Turkey Store bobcat license
• Must have acquire a Jennie - O Turkey Store forklift and handjack license
• Ability to safely handle riding & push lawn mower, string trimmer & yard vacuum cleaner. ability to handle a large yard sweeper
• High school diploma or equivalent GED
• Ability to work without supervision, highly motivated, strive for high level of performance
• Must have a state of Wisconsin driver's license
• PHYSICAL: Ability to work in any weather conditions
• Ability to lift 50 lbs frequently, ability to bend, reach

Preferred Qualifications

• Four years grounds & equipment experience
• Ability to work 10 + hours overtime in a week, when required
• Ability to train eligible candidates for bobcat, forklift, & handjack licensing
• Ability to conduct multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to provide assistance to the facilities maintenance staff
