Job summary

JeffTemps, Jefferson's internal temporary service, seeks a Supply Chain Coordinator to support Einstein Philadelphia. You will receive, stock, and distribute medical and linen supplies, while keeping accurate records and staying HIPAA compliant.

Work involves using PeopleSoft Mobile Supply Chain for inventory control and routine cycle counts, with day or night shifts and weekend rotations. Physical duties include lifting up to 25 lbs and on-site collaboration.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year inventory experience preferred.
• Knowledge of quality management methods to support an environment that meets organizational needs.
• Knowledge of and ability to manage inventories of finished goods.
• Knowledge of procurement systems/tools and related best practices.
• General computer competencies with PCs or workstations.
• Office administration tasks to support local and remote teams.
• Strong customer service orientation and service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Receive, stock, and distribute medical and linen supplies to patient care areas from storerooms and distribution areas.
• Maintain awareness of equipment in use and available to serve patient needs.
• Use PeopleSoft Mobile Supply Chain for receiving, cycle counts, and replenishment; communicate professionally.
• Keep supply/linen rooms, carts, and areas stocked and within quotas; maintain cleanliness and logs.
• Maintain delivery documents and logs.
• Safeguard patient information and ensure HIPAA compliance in communications.
• May use material handling devices such as pallet jacks or movers.
• Respond to phone, beeper, walk-in requests, and deliver supplies promptly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Location: 5501 Old York Rd, Philadelphia, PA 19141

Schedule

• Option 1: Day shift, 7am-3:30pm rotating weekends
• Option 2: Night shift, 10:30pm-7am, rotating weekends

The Supply Chain Coordinator is responsible for receiving, stocking, and distributing materials and supplies to designated areas. They maintain awareness of all equipment in use and available to best serve the needs of the patient and department.

Job Duties

• Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.(Do not delete, move or over-write this statement)
• Manages requisitions, shelves, and distributes medical and linen supplies to patient care areas from the general storeroom, linen room, and bulk room distribution areas. (30%)
• Utilize PeopleSoft Mobile Supply Chain for receiving, cycle counts, inventory control, par level, replenishment of stock inventory to various locations and communicates with customers in a professional and courteous manner. (30%)
• Assures that all supply/linen rooms, par level carts, orders, and exchange carts meet established quotas both qualitatively and quantitatively. Maintains and restocks supply/linen areas, storeroom, and bulk room for cleanliness, and expiration dates utilizing the established cleaning scheduled, and expired/damaged product inspection logs. (20%)
• Maintains files such as delivery documents, property tag log, and returned goods log. (15%)
• Demonstrates the ability to: safeguard patient information and ensure privacy in accordance with HIPAA regulations; to communicate tactfully with patients, family members, visitors and staff; and to adapt to fluctuating situations in a professional manner. (5%)
• May use material handling devices such as pallet jacks, furniture movers, etc.
• Responds to phone, beeper, walk-in, loading dock, and delivers supplies in a timely manner.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education (Required): High School Diploma/GED
• Experience (Preferred): 1 year experience in inventory preferred
• Quality Management - Knowledge of quality management methods, tools, and techniques used to create and support an environment that meets the needs of the organization.
• Inventory Management - Knowledge of, and ability to develop and use, strategies, practices and tools for effectively managing local or distributed inventories of finished goods.
• Knowledge of a Specific Procurement System - Knowledge of and ability to develop and use tools, techniques, and practices for a specific procurement application.
• General Computer Competencies - Knowledge of and ability to use personal computers or workstations.
• Office Administration - Knowledge of office administration activities, ability to carry out ongoing office administration tasks effectively and efficiently in support of local and remote teams.
• Service Excellence - Knowledge of customer service concepts and techniques, ability to meet or exceed customer needs and expectations and provide excellent service in a direct or indirect manner.

Physical Demands

Lift and carry 25 lbs. frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use, *patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
