Job Details

Jeff Temps, Jefferson's in-house temp service, is seeking CERTIFIED Sterile Processing Technicians to work full-time hours at our Center City location. All shifts available: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Skill in the decontamination, tray assembly, and sterilization of surgical instruments for the Operating Room and other departments requiring reprocessing of surgical instrumentation.

Essential Functions:

1. Cleans, disassembles, sorts, decontaminates, reassembles, packages, and sterilizes reusable surgical instrumentation following manufacturer's guidelines and departmental policies and procedures.
2. Operates automated washers, cart washers, ultrasonic washers, and sterilizers safely and efficiently, following manufacturers' instructions and departmental policies.
3. Uses the Abacus Instrument Tracking System in the assembly of surgical trays and peel-pouched items.
4. Demonstrates good communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal, when interacting with internal and external customers.
