Eventide on Eighth is currently looking for a full-time and part-time Nutrition & Culinary Assistants. The full-time position hours would be from 6:15am-2:30pm, working 64 hours per pay period. All shifts require every other weekend with a holiday rotation. Part-time hours would be 4:30pm-8pm every other weekend, with some shifts during the week and a holiday rotation.

The Nutrition and Culinary Assistant will provide meal service to tenants under sanitary conditions and in a cheerful, timely manner by communicating, coordinating, and cooperating with others to carry out the operations of the Nutrition and Culinary Services Department.

Ideal Candidate

Must be at least 16 years old.

Prior food service experience preferred, but not required.

Essential Job Functions
  1. Offers and serves menu choices to tenants in a cheerful and respectful manner.
  2. Thoroughly cleans and sanitizes all dishes, tables, equipment, utensils, and containers used to provide meals as well as other assigned cleaning duties.
  3. Operates equipment in a correct, safe, sanitary, and respectful manner.
  4. Prepares various menu items as assigned.
  5. Checks daily menu items in order to verify that all necessary items are prepared and labeled.
  6. Stores leftovers appropriately according to food handling standards.
  7. Performs assigned duties according to appropriate time schedules.
  8. Operates dish machine according to directions. Pre-soaks and sorts dishes and utensils.
