Job Details

JeffTemps, Jefferson's internal staffing service, is seeking a qualified Rehabilitation Aide to support the Physical Therapy department in Washington Township, New Jersey. The Rehabilitation Aide helps prepare patients and the environment for treatments and assists therapists in performing treatments under the therapist's supervision, in group or individual settings. The aide works in acute care, acute rehab, skilled facilities, outpatient settings, as appropriate.

Job Description

Essential Functions:

1. Interact with co-workers, visitors, and staff consistent with Jefferson's values.
2. Assist with patient care under the supervision of a licensed therapy professional, following departmental policies and state guidelines.
3. Transport patients to treatment areas promptly for therapy appointments.
4. Ensure equipment and treatment areas are clean, properly stored, and ready for use per hospital policies.
5. Perform clerical duties as directed to support daily departmental operations.
6. Supervise exercise programs, lead group exercises, document attendance and fees, and ensure participant safety.
7. Demonstrate basic computer skills such as scheduling, billing, and setting up new patients or surveys.
8. Communicate observations and information clearly and promptly to therapists and supervisors to facilitate coordination and outcomes.
9. Perform other duties as assigned.
