Our plant in Canby, OR is part of Johnson Controls’ Power Solutions group. As the world's largest automotive battery manufacturer, we produce 146 million batteries annually, powering various vehicles and applications worldwide, supported by over 15,000 employees across more than 50 facilities.
Position Description:
The Manufacturing/Process Engineer supports, monitors, and controls the battery manufacturing process, focusing on safety, quality, productivity, and performance. The role involves owning and improving plant and department metrics, performing complex work requiring independent judgment.
Primary Duties:
Qualifications
Required Education: Bachelor’s of Science degree
Required Experience: 3+ years in manufacturing
Skills/Abilities: Troubleshooting, communication, multitasking, analytical thinking, technical aptitude, integrity, proficiency in MS Office.
Preferred Qualifications: Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, 10+ years experience, PLC code editing, electrical schematics interpretation, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Minitab, Lean Manufacturing & Six Sigma certification.
Additional Requirements: Occasional US travel; flexible shifts during project implementation.
