About The Role

We are seeking a talented and motivated Mid-Level React/Next.js Developer for a full-time, 100% remote position. This is a 3-month contract-to-hire opportunity with strong growth potential. You will work on scalable, accessible, and fast front-end applications across a variety of projects, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams. Agency experience is highly valued in this role.

This is a hands-on development role ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic, execution-focused environments. While this position does not include formal management responsibilities, you will lead by example through code reviews and technical direction for contract developers.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional front-end or full-stack development experience
• Expert-level proficiency in React.js and Next.js, including SSR and SSG
• Strong JavaScript and TypeScript skills (ES6+)
• Solid grasp of front-end architecture and reusable component design
• Experience with styled-components and responsive layout systems
• Familiarity with RESTful and GraphQL APIs
• Exposure to WordPress or Umbraco CMS integration
• Experience with Git, CI/CD workflows, and Agile collaboration tools
• Strong debugging skills; experience with AI-powered tools like Cursor or Claude is a plus
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to manage tasks independently and mentor contract developers

• Familiarity with back-end technologies such as C# or .NET
• Experience working in digital agency settings
• Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG)
• Experience with testing frameworks like Jest or Cypress
• Working knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and front-end performance best practices

• Build performant, scalable front-end applications using React and Next.js
