Job summary

Talemexa is seeking a full-time remote frontend engineer to collaborate with frontend, backend, and design teams to deliver scalable web applications. You will write clean, reusable code and implement responsive UIs using React.js, Angular, or Vue.js while integrating RESTful APIs.

You will participate in code reviews, improve performance and security, maintain documentation, and contribute to continuous learning.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree in CS, IT, or software engineering.
• Hands-on experience with modern frontend frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue).
• Knowledge of Node.js and Express.js is a plus.
• Experience consuming RESTful APIs and handling JSON data.
• Familiarity with Git and version control workflows.
• Strong async programming, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

About the Role

As a full-time remote team member, you will collaborate with frontend developers, backend engineers, UI/UX designers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and develop effective technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Write clean, efficient, reusable, and well-documented code following established coding standards.
• Develop interactive and responsive user interfaces using frameworks such as React.js, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Build and maintain server-side applications and backend functionality using Node.js when required.
• Integrate RESTful APIs, third-party services, and external data sources into web applications.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve application bugs, technical issues, and performance bottlenecks.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and development planning sessions.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers and backend developers to deliver seamless application experiences.
• Implement appropriate security practices and ensure application reliability, scalability, and performance.
• Perform application testing, debugging, and validation to maintain software quality.
• Maintain technical documentation and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Hands-on experience with at least one modern frontend framework, such as React.js, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Knowledge of Node.js and Express.js is an added advantage.
• Experience integrating RESTful APIs and working with JSON data.
• Familiarity with Git and other version control systems.
• Good understanding of asynchronous programming, promises, callbacks, and debugging techniques.
• Ability to develop maintainable code and troubleshoot complex technical problems.
• Strong analytical thinking, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
