Job summary

Streamlyne, a dynamic SaaS company, seeks a Software Engineer II to design and build robust Web applications using the J2EE model. You will collaborate with SMEs, stakeholders, and fellow developers in a fast-paced San Diego environment.

The role requires 3 years of professional software engineering experience and strong Java/J2EE expertise, plus SQL databases and web GUI skills. Local candidates preferred; on-site at San Diego office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
• 3 years of professional software engineering experience, preferably server-side web development.
• Excellent knowledge in Java/J2EE (Servlets, JSP, Struts, Spring, OJB, Hibernate), MySQL, Oracle, OOP/OOD (UML, design patterns).
• Knowledge of HTML, AJAX, JavaScript, and CSS for web GUI development.
• Experience with SVN, CVS, Eclipse, Ant, Maven, and JUnit.
• Knowledge of and experience with enterprise workflow solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop robust Web applications using J2EE programming model and patterns.
• Participate in periodic code reviews.
• Work with business stakeholders and SMEs to clarify requirements and solve IT issues.
• Collaborate with developers, architects, and analysts to meet client business needs.
• Review and contribute to requirements, technical specs, and design docs.
• Follow established best practices, methodologies, and control processes.
• Assist in continuous improvement to enhance performance and functionality.
• Produce design and implementation documentation.
