Job summary

INTERAMERICAN HELLENIC LIFE INSURANCE COMPANY S.A. is seeking a Java Web Developer to design, develop and maintain Java-based web applications for front-office insurance systems.

You will apply OOP, modern web tech, and ensure high-quality code with tests, while contributing to documentation and deployment plans. The role requires a BSc/MSc in Computing/Math/Engineering, 3+ years in software engineering, strong English, and knowledge of JSP/JSF/Struts/GWT/Wicket.

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in Computing/ Mathematics/ Engineering.
• Experience in Java web development with JSP/JSF/Struts/GWT/Wicket.
• At least 3 years of professional software engineering.
• Strong programming and design skills for seniority level.
• Understanding of distributed systems architecture.
• Web tech know-how: JavaScript, HTML, CSS.
• Basic knowledge of Agile/Scrum processes.
• Experience documenting code and guidelines.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Excellent English language knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain Java-based web apps for front-office insurance systems.
• Define technical specs from business requirements and dependencies.
• Provide effort estimates and plan work based on priorities.
• Identify and propose new technologies and tools with clear value.
• Create developer docs, guidelines, and training materials.
