Java Technical Lead (On site)

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Java, Spring Boot, JUnit5, and the Spring Framework. This role involves leadership responsibilities, including planning strategies, and ensuring robust and efficient system operations to support our company's mission.

Location: Portsmouth, NH - USA (On site)

Responsibilities

1. Lead the design and development of software solutions using Spring Boot and Java.
2. Oversee the implementation of design patterns to ensure scalable and maintainable code.
3. Provide expertise in JUnit5 for unit testing and ensure high-quality code.
4. Apply YAML for configuration management and ensure consistency across environments.
5. Implement and maintain JSON and XML data structures for seamless data exchange.
6. Manage source code using GIT and ensure proper version control practices.
7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
8. Ensure software solutions are compatible with Linux environments.
9. Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
10. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly.
11. Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies.
12. Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes.
13. Ensure software solutions align with business requirements and company goals.

Qualifications

1. BS/BA degree or equivalent with 8+ years of hands-on development experience.
2. Strong technical background in JUnit5, Design Patterns, YAML, Spring Boot, Java, JSON, GIT, XML, and the Spring Framework.
3. Experience with Linux is a plus.
4. Property & Casualty Insurance experience is preferred.

Salary and Compensation

The annual salary ranges from $70,000 to $117,000, depending on experience and qualifications. This position is eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to company plans.
