Java Technical Lead (On-site)

Our practice is seeking a highly qualified Java Developer with experience in developing and building impactful, scalable, enterprise applications. Responsibilities

* Find opportunities for continuous automation and optimizations in the Production Environment for the Group Benefits domain.

* Design, implement and automate the continuous integration and deployment pipelines.

* Define strategies for Application Performance Monitoring, Resiliency and Chaos Engineering.

* Design and create Observability dashboards for monitoring and generating alerts.

* Perform fault injection experiments to uncover hidden bugs and monitor blind sports in the application and infrastructure.

* Perform root cause analysis and incident management. Collaborate with Development Team members to perform code fixes and run unit and integration tests.

* Assess and evaluate production issues to optimize the MTTR.

* Engage actively in system design, capacity planning and use case reviews.

Qualifications

* Hands-on experience building microservices with Java 17, Spring Framework (Spring Boot 3, Spring Web Flux, Spring Data or Spring JDBC).

* Five plus years hands on experience in application software development

* Hands-on experience with Automation and building Continuous Integration and Deployment pipelines using any of Jenkins, GitHub Actions, CloudFormation, Terraform and Ansible.

* Hands-on experience using Open Telemetry with Observability tools such as Splunk and Dynatrace.

* Trained / Hands-on experience with Dockers, Kubernetes, AWS EKS, AWS ECS, AWS Lambda, AWS SQS and AWS FIS (Fault Injection Service)

Travel: 0-5%

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $70K - $117,000 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
