Job summary

COOLSOFT is seeking an experienced ECS GitLab Developer in Denver, CO to design, build, and maintain Java-based web applications and RESTful services. You will work across the Java Spring ecosystem, integrate AWS services, and contribute to CI/CD workflows using GitLab.

The role requires hands-on development, independent work, and collaboration with technical and business stakeholders in a hybrid onsite/remote setup.

Qualifications

• Strong experience building Java web apps with Spring Boot.
• Proficient in REST API design and JSON.
• Familiar with front-end basics: HTML, CSS, JS.
• Experience with GitLab-based CI/CD workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based applications using Java SDK 21.
• Build and enhance applications using Spring Boot and the broader Spring Framework.
• Develop and maintain REST APIs and JSON-based integrations.
• Support smaller web applications using Thymeleaf, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Work with AWS-based infrastructure and services, including ECS, API Gateway, and DynamoDB.
• Contribute to source control and development workflows using GitLab.
• Build, maintain, and troubleshoot GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate on architecture, implementation decisions, reviews, and deployment practices.
• Support infrastructure-as-code efforts, especially Terraform.
• Use IntelliJ IDEA as primary development environment.
• Apply sound software engineering practices, including testing and documentation.
