Job summary

The Swift Group is seeking a Software Engineer to join our high-performing team. You will contribute to Java-based systems, leverage Spring, RESTful APIs, and microservices, and work across the full software lifecycle in a hybrid environment.

Ideal candidates have 3–13 years in software engineering, knowledge of Linux and build tools, and a DoD 8140/8570 compliant background. US citizenship with an active clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 3–13 years of software engineering experience across mid/senior levels is expected.
• Strong command of Java and modern libraries/frameworks (e.g., Spring, Guava).
• Experience with RESTful web services, microservices architecture, and API design.
• Proficiency in OOP, Linux environments, and build/configuration tools (Git, Maven, Nexus).
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies; Jira/Confluence used in daily workflow.
• DoD 8140/8570 compliance (e.g., Security+) is required.
• US citizenship with active Secret clearance or higher (TS/SCI with CI Polypreferred).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications with Spring.
• Develop and integrate RESTful services and microservices.
• Troubleshoot complex distributed systems and ensure quality documentation.
• Contribute across all SDLC phases: planning, development, testing, deployment.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Maintain configuration and versioning using Git, Maven, Nexus.
