Job summary

Low Cost Interlock, Inc. in Grapevine, TX, is seeking a Software Developer to join the IT team. You will design and maintain Java EE applications, work with in-house devices and interfaces, and help implement new features across the software stack.

The ideal candidate has several years of Java/J2EE experience, familiarity with Hibernate/JPA, and a willingness to travel up to 5% to support projects. The role is hybrid with a Monday–Friday schedule and no visa sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Requires 4+ years of professional software development experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred; equivalent experience may substitute.
• Experience with J2EE application servers and EJBs is required.
• Experience using an ORM (Hibernate, JPA, Eclipselink) is required.
• Experience with Java Swing is preferred.
• HubSpot experience preferred.
• Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, IIS, FTP, Firewalls) preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to use AI for development is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to travel less than 5%.
• Strong organizational, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the development team to design Java-based solutions.
• Document proposed designs and gather requirements across departments.
• Work with IT staff to diagnose performance issues and implement fixes.
• Conduct application security reviews and remediation.
• Create and maintain documentation for in-house Java and Web apps and deployment processes.
• Coordinate with SQL DBAs on application tuning and access to SQL servers.
• Troubleshoot network, application, and OS issues affecting apps and servers.
• Work independently on assigned projects with limited supervision.
• Perform other duties as needed by management.
