SMX Space and Intelligence (S&I) is hiring a Java Software Engineer on-site in Boulder, CO. The role focuses on microservice software development using Java, Python, and C++, within an Agile environment.

You will interface with full-stack web applications and cloud technologies to support space-ground systems for real-time data processing and visualization. Position location is at the customer’s site in Boulder, CO, five days a week.

Qualifications

• Must have TS/SCI clearance.
• Proficient in Java development and microservices.

Responsibilities

• Work with Agile, DevSecOps, CI/CD concepts and Gitlab.
• Define and implement cloud-based development environment configurations.
• Perform unit testing and support integration testing.

The SMX Space and Intelligence (S&I) Business Unit (BU) is on the ground floor across the future remote sensing ecosystem for all orbital regimes (LEO, MEO, HEO, and GEO). We build, integrate, and operationally support our customers’ emerging space-ground systems to include real-time data processing frameworks, sensor data processing, and data visualization. SMX has an immediate opportunity for a JAVA Software Engineer Perform microservice software development using Java, C++, and/or Python in an Agile SW Development paradigm The successful candidate will interface with and help build full stack web applications using Java, C++, Python, and cloud technologies.

Position location is at customer’s location, on-site in Boulder, CO, 5 days per week.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Work with the following software development lifecycle concepts: Agile, DevSecOps, Continuous Integration (CI), and Continuous Deployment (CD) making use of Gitlab, test automation, and other tools.
• Assist in the definition and implementation of commercial cloud-based development environment configurations
• Perform unit-level software testing for all assigned features and support integration testing as applicable to those features
• Provide leadership / mentorship of technical teams
• Work collaboratively in a cross-discipline environment with both internal and external customers to maintain a positive and productive work environment
• Provide tasking and technical direction to junior engineers, and review work products at multiple levels Develop / maintain training materials

$110,000—$155,000 USD
