Job summary

Georgia IT, Inc. is seeking an experienced Java-focused developer to join our backend team. The role emphasizes building and maintaining microservices using Java 8, Spring Boot and Spring Cloud, with a strong emphasis on REST API design and secure development practices.

Candidates should be proficient in database technologies (Postgres, Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB) and familiar with build tools such as Gradle and Maven. Experience with CI tools like Jenkins, SonarQube, and Bitbucket is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have strong Java development experience (Java 8) with Spring-based microservices.
• Must have hands-on experience with Rest services and SOAP development.
• Solid understanding of web and backend application development.
• Knowledge of Domain Driven Design and REST API design/implementation for microservices.
• Familiarity with secure development practices including encryption, authentication and authorization.
• Knowledge of Java build tools and dependency management (Gradle, Maven).
• Database experience with Postgres, Oracle, MySQL, or NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, Neo4J).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Job description

• MUST Experience be working with Java 8 Spring Cloud Hibernate Spring Boot
• MUST Experience with Microservices Rest services Soap development
• MUST Solid grasp of web and backend application development
• MUST Knowledge of Domain Driven Design concepts and microservices REST API design and implementation
• MUST Familiar with secure development best practices knowledge of Security principles Encryption Authentication Authorization etc
• MUST Knowledge of Java build tools and dependency management Gradle maven
• MUST Database experience at least 1 Postgres Oracle MySQL NoSQL databases MongoDB Cassandra Neo4J
• MUST Strong written and verbal skills
