Job summary

Capstone Consulting is seeking a Java Engineer to design, develop, and support modern enterprise applications that drive business growth. You will work on cloud-native, microservices, and API-driven systems, connecting legacy processes with new platforms.

The role emphasizes back-end and middleware work with CI/CD, DevOps practices, and collaboration across business and technical teams. Experience with Kafka, NoSQL, and containerized environments is expected.

Qualifications

7+ years of software development in enterprise environments.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from a US-accredited university.
Experience with building cloud-native microservices and APIs.

Responsibilities

Lead design, development, testing, integration, and support of enterprise apps and services.
Build scalable full-stack apps using Java, Spring Boot, and React.
Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices.
Develop and support event-driven solutions and messaging integrations.
Collaborate with stakeholders, architects, developers, and vendors to deliver solutions.
Mentor team members and contribute to engineering standards.

Job description

Capstone IT is helping our client to hire a Java Engineer to design, develop, and support modern enterprise applications that drive business growth initiatives. This role requires strong experience building cloud-native applications, microservices, APIs, event-driven systems, and modern user interfaces while collaborating across business and technical teams.

This is new development with a focus on back end and middleware to connect existing legacy systems to new systems.

Responsibilities

Lead the design, development, testing, integration, and support of enterprise applications and services.
Build scalable full-stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, and React.
Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices.
Develop and support event-driven solutions and messaging integrations.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, developers, and external vendors to deliver technology solutions.
Evaluate technical approaches and recommend scalable, maintainable solutions.
Build and maintain automated testing frameworks and quality processes.
Optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability.
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and DevOps best practices.
Mentor team members and contribute to engineering standards and best practices.
Leverage AI-assisted and agentic development tools to improve software delivery.
