Job summary

Eleveight Group in Rabat is seeking a Java Software Engineer to design, develop and maintain insurance applications. You will create robust, scalable solutions using Java and OOP, and work with APIs and authentication protocols such as OAuth2 and OpenID Connect.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
• Experience as a Java Software Engineer / Java Developer, ideally in insurance or complex enterprise apps.

We are hiring on behalf of our partner in the Insurance sector and are looking for a Java Software Engineer to take on the following responsibilities :

• Design, develop, and maintain new features for strategic insurance applications.
• Analyze technical and functional requirements and contribute to solution design.
• Develop robust and scalable solutions using Java and object-oriented programming principles.
• Work with APIs and authentication protocols such as OAuth2 and OpenID Connect.
• Ensure code quality by applying Design Patterns, SOLID principles, and development best practices.
• Contribute to application maintenance, troubleshooting, and technical documentation.
• Work within an Agile and DevSecOps environment, using CI/CD pipelines and Git.
• Collaborate closely with Business Analysts, Architects, Developers, and business teams.
• Participate in code reviews and technical validation processes.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of application performance, reliability, and resilience.

Profile required

Qualifications & Experience:

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Experience: Proven experience as a Java Software Engineer / Java Developer , ideally within the Insurance sector or on complex enterprise applications.

Skills & Expertise:

• Strong proficiency in Java , Object-Oriented Programming, Design Patterns, and SOLID principles.
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs and authentication protocols, particularly OAuth2 and OpenID Connect.
• Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Experience with Web development, Git, CI/CD tools, and DevSecOps environments.
• Familiarity with JIRA and Confluence.
• Strong awareness of code quality, maintainability, and software development best practices.
• Knowledge of Kafka and resilience patterns is a plus.
• Experience with Guidewire ClaimCenter, Gosu , or other insurance software packages , particularly in Claims Management , would be highly appreciated.
• Languages: Fluent French is mandatory; technical English is required.
