Job summary

EXL in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a seasoned Java/Kafka Developer for a full-time role. The position requires 7–10 years of software development experience with a strong focus on Java/J2EE, microservices, and RESTful APIs, plus hands-on work with Oracle and MSSQL databases.

The ideal candidate will lead technical efforts, contribute to CI/CD pipelines, and mentor teammates, with hybrid work and three days in the client office.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of experience in software development with strong focus on Java / J2EE technologies.
• Proven experience in programming microservices-based applications.
• Strong knowledge of Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Hibernate, REST APIs.
• Hands-on experience writing queries with Oracle and MSSQL Databases.
• Good understanding of containerization technologies like OCP, Docker, Kubernetes
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, Jenkins, and automated testing tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to lead technical teams.
• Provides technical guidance and support to colleagues and solution development.
