Job summary

Infosys is seeking a Technology Consultant 2 to contribute to demanding engineering projects in Richardson, TX. You will document business requirements, guide the design of software solutions, and participate in coding to enhance application stability.

You will lead code reviews, build robust test strategies, and develop training materials to ensure smooth adoption of new software. This role emphasizes proactive testing, DevOps practices, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience in Java microservices development using Spring Boot, Spring MVC, RESTful APIs, and distributed system design.
• Extensive experience with Apache Kafka for real-time messaging, event streaming, and event-driven architecture implementations.
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture including service discovery, API gateway, resilience patterns, and inter-service communication.
• Experience developing scalable, high-performance, and fault-tolerant enterprise applications.
• Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, Git, Maven/Gradle, and Agile development methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases, application performance tuning, logging, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Experience implementing security frameworks including OAuth2, JWT, SSL/TLS, and API security best practices.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the requirements elicitation process by documenting assigned parts of business requirements, in line with guidance provided.
• Facilitate software application design discussions, and document design decisions to guide the technical team towards building software solutions.
• Participate in coding and integrate new features or updates into existing applications, with a focus on maintaining system stability.
• Conduct code reviews, do changes to the codebase and maintain code repositories.
• Implement test strategies, analyse results, and coordinate bug fixes to uphold the software quality standards.
• Develop user training programs, documentation, and support frameworks to ensure a smooth transition to new software applications.
• Actively participate in resolving production issues and recommend preventive strategies to enhance system reliability.
• Maintain detailed records of code, testing techniques, and support activities to enrich the knowledge base and assist other similar projects.
