Infosys is seeking JAVA Lead Developer with Point of Sale / Retail industry. As a lead developer, you will contribute to various phases of the consulting lifecycle, defining problems, proposing solutions, and playing a key role in development, configuration, and deployment. You will guide project teams, contribute to proposals, client training, and internal capability-building, and help define project scope. This role offers the opportunity to shape consulting solutions that meet the evolving needs of clients worldwide.

Required Qualifications:

• Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Columbus, OH or be willing to relocate prior to onboarding.
• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution; three years of progressive experience in the field can substitute for each year of education.
• At least 4 years of experience in Information Technology.
• At least 3 years of experience with Java, Spring Boot, and web services.
• At least 2 years of experience in the Point of Sale / Retail industry.
• Knowledge of payment systems is advantageous.
• Ability to estimate work and collaborate with clients on new requirements.
• Experience and interest in working within a global delivery environment.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of Oracle DB, including stored procedures.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with support and development processes.
• Experience leading teams of 5-10 across different time zones.
• Skills in Node.js and API development are a plus.
• Ability to identify and implement modern front-end best practices and mentor teams.
• Proven experience in DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and deployments.
• Strong awareness of quality standards and non-functional requirements.
• Experience with Azure cloud deployments is beneficial.
• Experience in retail domain and e-commerce is advantageous.
• Experience with onsite/offshore team coordination.

The role involves sitting and working at a computer for extended periods. Effective communication via telephone, email, or face-to-face is required. Travel may be necessary based on project needs.
