Job summary

Crowdplum Global Services LLC is seeking a Java Lead to drive the design and development of enterprise-grade applications from the St. Louis area. The role is hybrid, with responsibility for technical leadership, code reviews, and architectural decisions.

You will lead Java teams, implement RESTful services, and collaborate with architects and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure systems. Strong emphasis on CI/CD, cloud adoption, and performance optimization is expected.

Qualifications

• 10 years of experience in Java/J2EE development, with 2 years in a technical lead role.
• Strong expertise in Java 8/11/17, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, and Microservices.
• Experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka, MQ, or similar platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of enterprise-grade applications using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.
• Provide technical leadership to Java development teams, conduct code reviews, and establish engineering best practices.
• Design scalable, resilient, and secure solutions capable of supporting high-volume financial transactions.
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs, distributed services, messaging, and third-party systems.
• Work with architects and business teams to translate functional requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Drive application modernization, cloud adoption, performance optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and provide root-cause analysis and sustainable solutions.
• Implement automated unit, integration, and performance testing while maintaining high code quality.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD, Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud deployments.
• Mentor developers and contribute to technical standards, architecture decisions, and engineering documentation.
