Job summary

Wipro in Austin, TX is seeking an experienced software engineer to design, develop, test, and operate scalable enterprise applications with strong fullstack Java enterprise skills. You will work with Agile teams to deliver REST services using Spring Boot, mentor junior developers, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines.

This position requires 8–10 years of experience, a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, and familiarity with PCF or similar cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 7+ years of software development experience in enterprise web application development with full-stack Java expertise and experience mentoring junior developers.
• 4+ years of experience building REST services for high-volume and highly available environments.
• 4+ years of experience with relational and NoSQL databases, including SQL, Oracle, and MongoDB.
• 2+ years of experience with PCF or similar cloud platforms.
• Strong experience in RESTful service design and development using Spring Boot.
• Good understanding of CI/CD, unit testing, API test automation, and automated deployment pipelines.
• Experience with Atlassian tools such as Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, and Bamboo is preferred.
• Knowledge of software design patterns and SOLID principles.
• Ability to support all phases of the SDLC, including requirements, design, development, and testing.
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies and understand complex concepts.
• Experience managing multiple priorities in a dynamic and distributed environment.
• Ability to work independently and provide leadership within a team.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools (such as GitHub Copilot) to improve productivity, accelerate delivery, and maintain code quality.
• Must be able to work in a hybrid model. This role is not eligible for fully remote work.

The expected compensation for this role ranges from $80,000 to $158,000 .

Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro’s standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
