Job summary

Infosys Limited is seeking a Technology Consultant 2 in Richardson, TX to contribute to design, development, and delivery of enterprise software solutions. You will work across the SDLC, implement secure APIs, and drive improvements with modern tech like Java Microservices, Spring Boot, and Kafka.

Ideal candidates will have hands-on coding experience, strong collaboration skills, and a proactive approach to testing, debugging, and production support within an Agile framework.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• This position may require relocation and/or travel to work/project location.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the requirements elicitation process by documenting assigned parts of business requirements, in line with guidance provided
• Facilitate software application design discussions, and document design decisions to guide the technical team towards building software solutions
• Participate in coding and integrate new features or updates into existing applications, with a focus on maintaining system stability
• Conduct code reviews, do changes to the codebase and maintain code repositories
• Implement test strategies, analyse results, and coordinate bug fixes to uphold the software quality standards
• Develop user training programs, documentation, and support frameworks to ensure a smooth transition to new software applications
• Actively participate in resolving production issues and recommend preventive strategies to enhance system reliability
• Maintain detailed records of code, testing techniques, and support activities to enrich the knowledge base and assist other similar projects

In the assigned Job Role of Technology Consultant 2, your Area Of Responsibility will be as below:

Required Skill and Experience

• Strong hands-on experience in Java Microservices development using Spring Boot, Spring MVC, RESTful APIs, and distributed system design.
• Extensive experience with Apache Kafka for real-time messaging, event streaming, and event-driven architecture implementations.
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture including service discovery, API gateway, resilience patterns, and inter-service communication.
• Experience developing scalable, high-performance, and fault-tolerant enterprise applications.
• Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, Git, Maven/Gradle, and Agile development methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases, application performance tuning, logging, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Experience implementing security frameworks including OAuth2, JWT, SSL/TLS, and API security best practices.

Preferred Skill and Experience

• Experience with Kafka Streams, Kafka Connect, Schema Registry, and advanced event processing solutions.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP and cloud-native microservices deployment.
• Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Splunk, ELK, Grafana, Prometheus, or Dynatrace.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).
• Experience with container orchestration, service mesh technologies, and enterprise integration patterns.
• Understanding of DevSecOps practices, automated testing, and performance engineering.
• Strong technical leadership, stakeholder management, and mentoring capabilities.
