Job summary

BeaconFire is hiring a Java Software Developer to build applications with scalable, secure, and maintainable code powering client platforms. You will participate in full stack development, code reviews, and the full SDLC within an Agile team, delivering APIs, deployment procedures, and observability.

Candidates should have a basic mastery of Java and OOP, relational databases, and familiarity with Spring, Maven, React.js, HTML, and CSS. Visa sponsorship is available for eligible applicants.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of the software development life cycle.
• Proficiency in object-oriented programming with knowledge of common APIs and data structures.
• Knowledge of relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and basic SQL queries.

Responsibilities

• Full stack development and code reviews to ensure quality and best practices.
• Own the full development lifecycle within an Agile Scrum team from planning to deployment.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for applications, APIs, and deployment procedures.
• Ship to production: APIs, monitoring/observability, CI/CD, and security best practices.
