Job summary

RED Global is a Los Angeles-based technology partner seeking experienced Java Full Stack Developers to support a large-scale public sector program in Los Angeles County. You will join an Agile team responsible for maintenance, production support and enhancement of a mission-critical criminal justice records system.

The role requires at least 3 years of enterprise Java experience, strong OO development skills, and proven ability to deploy on Java EE servers in Linux environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience developing and supporting enterprise Java applications.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java and web application development using modern object-oriented programming principles.
• Experience implementing industry standard security protocols for application authentication and authorization.
• Proven experience deploying Java applications on Java EE compliant application servers and within Linux environments.
• Experience developing and supporting decoupled, multi-tiered applications, including production support, troubleshooting and application enhancements within an Agile delivery environment.
• Previous experience supporting criminal justice, law enforcement, government or other highly regulated technology environments is preferred; C and Pro*C is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance the existing mission-critical criminal justice records system while ensuring high availability and security.
• Provide production support and troubleshooting for Java-based applications.
• Collaborate in an Agile team to deliver continuous improvements and new features.

Job description

RED Global is seeking experienced Java Full Stack Developers to support a large scale public sector technology program in Los Angeles County. These individuals will join an Agile technical team responsible for the ongoing maintenance, production support and enhancement of a mission critical criminal justice records system.

Successful candidates will have the following:

• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience developing and supporting enterprise Java applications.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java and web application development using modern object-oriented programming principles and technologies.
• Experience implementing industry standard security protocols for application authentication and authorization.
• Proven experience deploying Java applications on Java EE compliant application servers and within Linux environments.
• Experience developing and supporting decoupled, multi-tiered applications, including production support, troubleshooting and application enhancements within an Agile delivery environment.
• Previous experience supporting criminal justice, law enforcement, government or other highly regulated technology environments is strongly preferred. Experience with C and Pro*C is a plus but not required.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and willing and able to complete a California DOJ fingerprint-based background investigation and sign the CJIS Security Addendum.
• Candidates residing in Los Angeles County are strongly preferred and must be able to work onsite within Los Angeles County as required.
