Job summary

MACHINE LEARNING TECHNOLOGIES LLC is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to support Twist Bioscience in South San Francisco. You will maintain and enhance a multi-repository e‑commerce platform and internal tools in a modern microservices environment.

You will build responsive UIs with React and TypeScript, design RESTful APIs in Java, Python and Node.js, and collaborate with Product, Design and DevOps to deliver scalable solutions. Experience with Docker, Kubernetes (EKS) and CI/CD is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience across frontend and backend in multi-repo environments.
• Strong React and TypeScript frontend development.
• Experience designing and maintaining RESTful APIs in Java, Python and Node.js.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain frontend and backend systems across multiple repositories.
• Build responsive user interfaces using React and TypeScript primarily.
• Design, implement, and maintain RESTful APIs in Java, Python, and Node.js.
• Create and document APIs using Swagger/OpenAPI.
• Work with containerized applications using Docker and manage deployments on Kubernetes (EKS).
• Configure and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Drone CI).
• Monitor application performance and debug issues using logging and metrics tools.
• Integrate and maintain payment processing systems (e.g., Stripe).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, Design, and DevOps.
• Manage codebases effectively using Git.
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture and system integrations.

Job Description

Position Overview: Twist is looking for an experienced Senior Full Stack Engineer to maintain and enhance their multi-repository e-commerce platform and internal tools. The ideal candidate is highly versatile, capable of working across different stacks, and experienced in building scalable applications within a modern microservices environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain frontend and backend systems across multiple repositories.
• Build responsive user interfaces using React and TypeScript primarily.
• Design, implement, and maintain RESTful APIs in Java, Python, and Node.js.
• Create and document APIs using Swagger/OpenAPI.
• Work with containerized applications using Docker and manage deployments on Kubernetes (EKS).
