Innova Solutions is seeking a Java Engineer at Intermediate level for Columbus, OH on a contract-to-hire basis lasting 6+ months. The team is platform heavy requiring strong Java/Spring/Microservices/API/Kafka with scripting and AWS, plus solid database experience (DB2/SQL/Postgres).

Front-end exposure is a plus, with 5–7 years of experience preferred. You will work in an Agile environment, contributing to design, development, testing and deployment of scalable software.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Java/Spring/Microservices with API design and Kafka.
• Strong database experience (DB2, SQL, Postgres).
• Shell scripting ability and debugging complex code.
• Agile methodologies with CI/CD practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain platform-heavy applications.
